A cold atmospheric front is expected to bring severe weather to the region, including heavy rains and thunderstorms. Residents are urged to exercise caution during this period of inclement weather.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations advises the following safety measures:

• Avoid seeking shelter near walls of buildings, public transportation stops, billboards, and trees.

• If caught in a thunderstorm in an open area, find a lowland, ravine, or natural depression to sit in.

• Stay away from elevated areas, tall trees, and metal structures.

• Refrain from traveling unless absolutely necessary.
