A truck transporting fruit caught fire on the M-1 “Belarus” federal highway, causing significant damage and temporary disruption. The incident occurred at the 95th kilometer of the highway in the Mozhaisk municipal district of the Moscow region.
The fire erupted around 2:30 AM, engulfing the trailer section of the vehicle. Emergency services from the 308th fire and rescue unit in Mozhaisk and the federal fire service responded to the scene to combat the blaze.
The truck driver managed to detach the tractor unit from the burning trailer, preventing further damage to the cab. However, the trailer and its contents of fruit were heavily damaged by the fire.
Firefighters successfully extinguished the fire, preventing it from spreading beyond the truck. Footage from the scene shows the aftermath, with fruit scattered across the asphalt and the trailer’s frame significantly burned.
