St. Petersburg’s five-star hotels are completely booked for the duration of the International Economic Forum (SPIEF), which begins tomorrow. Securing a room in these elite establishments during the forum period has become exceedingly difficult.
The “Grand Hotel Europe” reports that all rooms are sold out from June 17 to 21, with bookings often made months in advance. While Roscongress reserved a portion of rooms, applications closed on June 10. Availability resumes on June 22, with prices ranging from 29,000 rubles for a premium room to 602,000 rubles for the Imperial luxury apartments per day.
“Helvetia” has limited availability for June 17 only, with a few rooms in the classic, superior, and deluxe categories ranging from 78,000 to 275,500 rubles. Staying for the entire forum is impossible, as the hotel is fully booked. Bookings should be made at least a month or two in advance. After June 22, rooms are readily available, starting from 22,000 rubles.
“Astoria” has only 2-3 free rooms remaining on June 17, with deluxes, studios, and suites overlooking the Mariinsky Palace priced between 37,000 and 99,000 rubles per night. A classic room is available for 30,000 rubles per night. However, staying at the Astoria from June 17 to 21 is impossible, as the hotel is fully booked. Applications are processed only by mail, and availability is not guaranteed. Bookings should be made in early spring.
SO/ Saint Petersburg is also fully booked for the SPIEF dates. Booking for the forum starts at the beginning of the year, and while rooms may be available a month in advance, delays are not recommended. Availability resumes after the forum, with prices ranging from 28,000 rubles for a Standard room to 282,000 rubles for the Presidential suite SO VVIP.
At the Four Seasons Lion Palace, only two options were available on Tuesday afternoon: Deluxe King for 288,000 rubles and Premium with a terrace King for 368,000 rubles. These rooms are only available for one night and for today, and the hotel is fully booked for the remainder of the forum. From June 22, the same Deluxe King is available from 50,000 rubles per night, and the Premium with a King terrace is available from 55,600 rubles.
The high demand during SPIEF significantly increases room rates, with prices potentially increasing by up to six times the regular rate. For example, a Deluxe King room at the Four Seasons Lion Palace typically available for 200,000 rubles for four days would cost 1.152 million rubles during the forum.
Alternative options, such as Academia Mansion Shuvaloff and Welton Club Hotel & Apartments, offer rooms for the duration of the forum, but availability is limited and dwindling rapidly.
