A house fire in the Vyborgsky district of St. Petersburg required twenty firefighters to extinguish it on Wednesday, June 4th. The blaze, which consumed 150 square meters, resulted in no casualties.

Around 1 p.m., residents noticed smoke plumes in the northern part of the city, with reports indicating that the darkening sky was visible from Engels Avenue. The source of the smoke was traced to a house located at 42 Arkticheskaya Street.

The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for St. Petersburg received a fire alarm for the address shortly before 1 p.m. Four fire crews were dispatched to combat the fire.

The fire was successfully extinguished at 2:12 p.m. according to the department’s report.
