A truck caught fire on the “Chita-Khabarovsk” highway near Seryshevo, en route to the “Ukrainka” airbase in the Amur region. The incident occurred on June 1st, according to Amur Region Governor Vasily Orlov.
The fire has been extinguished, but the driver sustained injuries. Emergency services are currently at the scene.
Governor Orlov has stated that there were no drone strikes on the airbase. He emphasized that the situation is under control.
Earlier reports from the Russian Ministry of Defense press service mentioned alleged terrorist attacks on military airfields in five regions of the Russian Federation, including the base in the Amur region; however, the Governor denies those claims in relation to the “Ukrainka” airbase incident.
