A fire at the bird market near the “Carnival” shopping center in Yekaterinburg destroyed two shopping pavilions early this morning. The incident occurred on Khalturina Street, impacting a trading base popular among local residents.

The Sverdlovsk Region’s Ministry of Emergency Situations reported the fire’s total area covered 80 square meters. The fire was reported to the Ministry of Emergency Situations at 4:46 AM.

Firefighters managed to localize the open flame by approximately 5:00 AM and completely extinguished the fire by 5:46 AM. Six fire engines and thirteen personnel were dispatched to combat the blaze. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
