The conflict began when Evgeny purchased ice cream for his children, and one of them offered it to a neighbor. Evgeny then requested payment for the treat, but the neighbor declined. He responded by taking the ice cream back from her.

The neighbor pursued Evgeny, attempting to reclaim the ice cream. In response, Evgeny splashed water on her, which led to a more intense confrontation and became a full fledged fight.

Evgeny reported that his t-shirt, valued at 3,000 rubles, was damaged during the scuffle. He also expressed concern about the moral impact of the incident on the children who witnessed it.

Evgeny has filed a pre-trial claim, seeking an apology from his neighbor and compensation for the damaged clothing. He maintains that the neighbor should have paid for the ice cream. Others have suggested he could have simply given the ice cream away for free, and that both parties were at fault in the dispute.
