Field Hockey Coach Injured by Stray Shot in Yekaterinburg

A field hockey coach was injured by a stray shot from an air gun during a match in Yekaterinburg. Roman Rogov, coach of “Dynamo-Elektrostal,” was struck in the leg.

The incident occurred during a game in Yekaterinburg. A strawberry vendor near the stadium allegedly fired an air gun to scare away sparrows.

According to the press secretary of Yekaterinburg’s “Dynamo,” the shot unintentionally hit Rogov, who was on a tower filming the game. Rogov sustained a mark on his leg as a result of the incident.

The match was temporarily interrupted but later resumed.

This event follows other recent reports of firearm-related incidents in the Urals region. These include a road rage incident involving gunfire involving a driver with a Wagner Group tattoo, a man firing an automatic weapon into the air on Vysotsky Street, and a man discharging a traumatic pistol into the air on Malysheva Street. In a separate incident, an unidentified individual reportedly shot at parked cars in the Botanica district.
