A fatal traffic accident occurred on the 85th kilometer of the Murmansk highway in the Kirovsky district of the Leningrad region on the morning of June 8th. The collision involved a fuel truck, a Lada, and a Gazelle.

The driver of the Lada died at the scene.

According to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the accident occurred at 11:50 AM. A 41-year-old driver of the fuel truck allegedly failed to maintain a safe distance and crashed into the Lada, driven by a 36-year-old man, and a Gazelle, driven by a 32-year-old man.

Photos from the scene circulating on social media show the Lada severely damaged. The car is described as being crushed, and the fuel truck is seen having run off the road.

An investigation into the circumstances of the accident is underway.
