A 47-year-old businessman died after a fight broke out at a restaurant in the Krasnoselsky district of St. Petersburg. The conflict, reportedly stemming from a dispute over a karaoke song, escalated into a physical altercation involving at least six people.

The incident occurred on Veteranov Avenue, and video footage captured by a street camera shows the progression of the fight. The victim was repeatedly knocked to the ground and eventually left unable to get up.

Police arrived at the scene to find the man lying on the lawn outside the restaurant. He was transported to a hospital but was pronounced dead shortly before midnight on June 13. Forensic experts will determine the exact cause of death.

A 33-year-old man from the Krasnodar region, identified as a serviceman of the National Guard, has been detained by police and handed over to military investigators. Law enforcement officials are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
