A 22-year-old woman died following a car crash on the Novosibirsk-Leninsk-Kuznetsky highway on July 29.

The accident occurred when the young woman, driving a red Toyota Vitz, lost control of her vehicle at the 30th kilometer of the K-19R highway while traveling from Novosibirsk.

According to the State Traffic Inspectorate for the Novosibirsk Region, the Toyota Vitz veered onto gravel, causing the driver to swerve into the oncoming lane where it collided with an Opel Astra.

An eyewitness, identified as Irina, reported that the Toyota Vitz was traveling at approximately 80-90 km/h before the driver lost control. The impact of the collision caused the Toyota Vitz to break apart.

Three occupants of the Opel Astra were injured and transported to the hospital. Bystanders assisted in extracting the victims from the vehicles and provided them with phones to contact their families.

Emergency services arrived at the scene within 15-20 minutes and transported all victims to a medical facility. The 22-year-old driver of the Toyota Vitz died in the hospital on the night of July 30.
