A 61-year-old truck driver from the Pskov region died after being struck by a car on the St. Petersburg Ring Road. The incident occurred on the 54th kilometer of the inner ring.
The man was hit by a 33-year-old St. Petersburg resident driving a Suzuki SX4. He had exited his Volvo truck with a trailer after it stopped due to a prior accident.
The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region reported that the accident took place around 11:00 PM the previous night.
The deceased was wearing a reflective vest at the time of the accident. Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
