A farewell ceremony for priest Dmitry Babkin, who tragically died in a car accident, will be held in Barabinsk. Bishop Vladimir of Kainsk and Barabinsk will lead the Divine Liturgy and funeral service.

The service is scheduled for tomorrow, June 5, at 08:30 in the church honoring the icon of the Mother of God “Joy of All Who Sorrow,” located at 85 Karl Marx Street, Barabinsk.

Dmitry Babkin passed away on June 3 at 19:30 in an accident in the Barabinsky district. He was driving a Suzuki Grand Vitara on the Novosibirsk — Zyuza — Kvashino road. Preliminary reports indicate that he lost control at the 54th kilometer, resulting in the car entering a ditch and overturning.

The priest, 41, served in parishes within the Novosibirsk and Kainsk Dioceses of the Russian Orthodox Church. He and his wife were raising five children.
