An experimental electronic music concert will be held tonight, June 6th, at 8:00 PM on the stage near the Central Exhibition Hall “Manege.” This event is part of the “Graphics of Sound: XII St. Petersburg International New Music Festival.”

The concert is organized by the St. Petersburg Center for Contemporary Academic Music reMusik.org, and admission is free for all ages (0+).

The first segment of the concert will showcase solo performances by three distinct artists. Sound artist Oleg Makarov, known for his exploration of algorithmic relationships between sound, movement, and video, will present his compositions. Dmitry Shubin, a versatile improviser with experience in free jazz and electronics, will also perform. Rounding out the first part is SymphoСat, an artist skilled in ambient music.

The second half of the concert will feature a collaborative improvisation by Makarov, Shubin, and SymphoСat. The artists will combine their individual styles into a unified performance that promises to be full of unusual electroacoustic techniques and experimental energy.

The “St. Petersburg International New Music Festival” is known for premiering compositions by 21st-century composers and covering a diverse range of contemporary academic music styles.
