A security guard was murdered and robbed at the “Perspektiva” screw pile factory in Novosibirsk. The incident occurred on Aviastroiteley Street, 53.
The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Novosibirsk Region is investigating the crime, which took place between the night of June 1st and 2nd. A criminal case has been opened under Article 105, Part 2 (murder) and Article 162, Part 4 (robbery) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
According to preliminary information from the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Novosibirsk Region, two men, aged 34 and 44, entered the factory premises with the intention of stealing tools. One of the suspects was reportedly a welder at the company and enlisted the help of an accomplice with a prior criminal record.
The suspects allegedly stole screwdrivers, electric hammer drills, welding machines, and other tools valued at 1 million rubles. They also stole a “Gazelle” belonging to the organization and a “Kia” belonging to the deceased security guard.
The “Perspektiva” factory is part of the “Perspektiva” group of companies, which includes five enterprises involved in construction and equipment manufacturing. The group has been operating for 11 years and, in the past year, generated over half a billion rubles in revenue and 3.3 million in net profit. The company is co-owned by Sergei Shvets and Roman Dyachenko. Sergei Shvets, who also serves as the director, declined to comment on the incident.
