Novosibirsk region is bracing for severe weather on June 6th, with residents warned to prepare for thunderstorms, hail, and strong winds. The regional Ministry of Emergency Situations (MChS) issued an alert, forecasting squally winds reaching up to 20 m/s across the region.
The West Siberian Hydrometeorological Center has also predicted deteriorating weather conditions for the area tomorrow. In addition to the high winds, the forecast includes rain, showers, and the possibility of hail in various locations.
The warning comes after hail was reported in the Chistoozyorny district on the evening of June 5th. Eyewitnesses shared images of the icy precipitation via the Telegram channel “АСТ-54 Black,” reporting a powerful downpour accompanied by hail in the area.
Previously, hail also impacted the village of Sadovy, where local residents reported damage to garden plantings as a result of the icy onslaught. Despite the expected severe weather, daytime temperatures are predicted to remain relatively warm, ranging from +25 to +27 degrees Celsius.
