A flight from Novosibirsk to St. Petersburg made an unscheduled landing in Yekaterinburg on June 11 due to a passenger’s medical emergency. The S7 Airlines flight S7 5003 diverted to Yekaterinburg where medical personnel attended to the individual.
The airline confirmed that the passenger was undergoing examination by doctors following the landing. The plane is currently preparing to resume its journey to St. Petersburg.
Novosibirsk airport also acknowledged the intermediate landing in Yekaterinburg. Local news sources reported that the plane landed at Koltsovo Airport and the affected passenger was transported to a hospital.
This incident follows a similar event in late May, where a flight from Novosibirsk to Moscow was rerouted and landed in Kazan.
