Elena Gromkova has been named the head of NGS.RU, a Novosibirsk-based website that is part of the Gorodskiye Media Shkulev Holding.
Gromkova’s appointment follows her previous role as editor-in-chief at the publication. According to Olga Prokhorova, editorial director of Gorodskiye Media Shkulev Holding, Elena has been with NGS.RU for 15 years, progressing into a capable leader with a strong understanding of her team and the city of Novosibirsk.
Gromkova began her career at NGS.RU right after graduating from university and advanced from a news correspondent to deputy editor and then editor-in-chief.
In her new position, Gromkova stated that she and the editorial team will continue to develop content that appeals to both Novosibirsk residents and those living elsewhere.
Gromkova succeeds Marina Malkova, who will now lead E1.RU, a website based in Yekaterinburg.
Shkulev Holding is a major media company in Russia with a presence in 47 regions. Its portfolio includes Gorodskiye Media, which comprises 46 projects such as Fontanka.ru in St. Petersburg, E1.RU in Yekaterinburg, NGS.RU in Novosibirsk, 74.RU in Chelyabinsk, and MSK1.RU in Moscow.
