A 78-year-old man died at the scene of a two-car collision in St. Petersburg’s Krasnogvardeysky district on Tuesday, June 18. The accident occurred around 2:30 PM at the intersection of Revolyutsii Highway and Marshal Tukhachevsky Street.

The crash involved a gray Renault Sandero and an oncoming Mazda 3. The Renault was turning left when it was struck by the Mazda, driven by a 21-year-old man.

The impact caused the Renault to overturn onto its side. A video of the incident, captured by a surveillance camera, shows the collision and its immediate aftermath. Eyewitnesses who gathered at the scene worked together to right the overturned vehicle.
