The Ecomir ecological festival will take place on Saturday, June 7th, at the Novosibirsk Zoo, offering free admission to those who create a hat from recycled materials. The event, titled “Hats Off,” invites participants to showcase their eco-friendly headwear.

The festival, scheduled to begin at 11:00 AM, requests participants to arrive by 10:00 AM. Attendees can craft hats using materials such as plastic bottles, cardboard, polyester, and egg packaging. Registration is required via a provided link.

A fashion show will allow participants to display their unique hat creations. The festival will also feature quests, quizzes, master classes, a photo zone, a concert, and a prize draw with prizes including a SUP board, a bicycle, and a smart speaker.

The theme for this year’s festival is “animal protectors of nature,” with each participating organization assigned a totem animal. Spetsavtokhozyaistvo, symbolized by a bear, will host guests near the polar bear enclosure, offering master classes and games.

The Department of Energy of the Novosibirsk Mayor’s Office organizes the festival with support from the Ministry of Natural Resources and various city enterprises.
