The Early Middle Ages Culture Festival “Karelian Land” will take place from July 11 to 13 in Sortavala’s “Bastion” historical park. The festival focuses on the intertwined cultures of Finno-Ugric, Slavic, and Scandinavian tribes who inhabited the Ladoga shores between the 8th and 12th centuries.
Visitors to the festival will be able to experience the atmosphere of these historical cultures.
The three-day event will feature a diverse program including battle reenactments, a fair showcasing crafts and goods, informative lectures, hands-on master classes, and various engaging tournaments.
The “Karelian Land” festival is set to conclude with a concert, offering a musical finale to the cultural immersion.
While registration to participate in the festival is now closed, the organizers welcome spectators to observe and enjoy the events unfolding within the “Bastion” park.
Tickets for the event are available for purchase, offering options for one, two, or three days of attendance. Discounted tickets are available for specific groups, including schoolchildren, students, pensioners, and other eligible beneficiaries.
