A 39-year-old man was detained by police after allegedly brandishing a weapon and frightening two underage visitors at a cafe on Dybenko Street in St. Petersburg. The incident occurred around 8 p.m. on the evening of May 31st.

The man is currently being held by police and is being charged with petty hooliganism. Authorities confiscated the weapon, which was loaded and may be a pneumatic pistol, for examination.

According to reports, the parents of the children have filed statements with the police.

The suspect has a prior criminal record, having been tried several years ago for threatening murder and causing harm to health.

Social media posts show the man posing in what are described as “brutal images.” In March 2024, he posted a photo of himself wearing khaki-colored clothing, a tactical vest, and patches featuring the letter Z and symbols associated with the Wagner PMC.
