A drone attack targeted an industrial enterprise in the Penza region on July 31st, resulting in a fire but no casualties or destruction. Governor Oleg Melnichenko reported from the scene that emergency services are working to extinguish the blaze.
Mobile internet access has been restricted in the region as a security measure to aid in suppressing enemy UAVs, according to Melnichenko.
While air defense systems repelled drone attacks in six regions overnight, the Penza region was not initially included in that list. Other regions experienced similar incidents, with fires reported in the Rostov and Volgograd regions, and debris falling on a railway near Volgograd.
