A 23-year-old driver in St. Petersburg is facing consequences after two female passengers were observed riding on the exterior of his Skoda vehicle on Nevsky Prospekt. The incident, which occurred on a June evening, prompted intervention by the State Traffic Inspectorate.

The driver now regrets not restraining the passengers and failing to control the situation, according to a video released by the State Traffic Inspectorate.

The incident came to light after the passengers were seen sitting on the car doors, seemingly taking selfies while the vehicle was in motion. The driver received a report for transporting passengers outside the cabin and may face additional criminal charges.

During an inspection of the vehicle, authorities discovered signs of forgery on the vehicle’s identification number. This discovery led to the driver being taken to the police station for further investigation.

This incident follows a similar event in late May when a passenger was observed riding on the roof of a Toyota, also on Nevsky Prospekt. That individual received a seven-day administrative arrest.
