A mixed-breed dog named Malysh, who escaped from St. Petersburg Airport, has been spotted on the Western High-Speed Diameter (ZSD). The search team is requesting assistance from the public to locate the animal.
The dog was caught on dashcam footage around 8:00 AM on June 7th in the Vasilevsky Island area. The owner has confirmed the dog in the footage is Malysh and volunteer searchers are actively searching the surrounding area by car and on foot.
Malysh escaped during baggage unloading at Pulkovo Airport on June 5th after opening his carrier.
Volunteers describe Malysh as a timid and stressed 13-year-old mixed breed, white and red in color, and similar in appearance to a Jack Russell Terrier.
The search team advises anyone who spots a similar dog to avoid chasing or attempting to catch it. Instead, they request that individuals take photos and videos and, if possible, discreetly monitor the dog’s movements.
Any information regarding Malysh’s whereabouts can be reported to the Yuki Doma search team or directly to the owners using the contact information provided in the Pulkovo press service publication.
