Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev emphasized the importance of boosting the income of the population, creating high-performance jobs, and reducing unemployment in the Novosibirsk region. This statement was made during a working meeting with the Governor of the Novosibirsk Region, Andrey Travnikov, held to discuss the socio-economic development of the area.

The meeting, which also addressed topics such as the agro-industrial complex and environmental issues, highlighted the positive trends in the region’s livestock industry, particularly in meat production, with continued growth reported this year. The implementation of five investment projects, totaling an estimated 73 billion rubles, across various sectors of the economy was also discussed. These projects are being carried out within the framework of the institute of curatorship.

Furthermore, the meeting touched upon the results of the “Ecology” national project in the region. Projects focused on eliminating unauthorized landfills, creating solid waste disposal facilities, and cleaning water bodies were implemented with over 1.4 billion rubles allocated from the federal budget. Special attention was given to the reform of the municipal solid waste management system, specifically ensuring the sustainable operation of regional operators.

Dmitry Patrushev’s visit to Novosibirsk follows his appointment as Deputy Prime Minister of Russia in May of last year.
