St. Petersburg’s annual “Fontanka SUP” festival is set to take place, with participants now able to collect their starter kits. The distribution began on July 30th at the Vokzal 1853 food mall, located at 118 Obvodny Canal Embankment S, and will continue through August 1st from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM daily.
Registered participants are required to present their QR code (received upon registration) and a form of identification (passport, driver’s license, or a photo of either) to receive their starter pack. Those collecting a starter pack for another person must also provide that person’s QR code and identification.
Out-of-town participants and those who received registration as a gift can collect their starter packs on the day of the event, August 2nd, starting at 8:00 AM at the starting town. A designated “Starter Pack Distribution” tent will be available.
Participants are encouraged to enter the costume and SUP board design competition by submitting photos via the festival’s Telegram chatbot by 12:00 PM on August 2nd. Photos must clearly show the participant’s starting number, costume, and/or decorated SUP board. The chatbot requires participants to provide their full name, contact phone number, and starter number.
The competition features various categories, including “Best Costume,” “Best SUP Board Design,” “Me and a Valuable Passenger,” and more. Detailed descriptions of each category are available on the festival website. Winners will be announced at the main stage following the carnival swim.
