Oleg Zabrodin has been removed from his position as head of the Hospital for Veterans of All Wars by the new leadership of the Sverdlovsk Ministry of Health. The reasons for this decision have not been publicly disclosed.
As of yet, the hospital’s official website has not been updated to reflect this change, and Oleg Zabrodin is still listed as the head of the institution.
Zabrodin’s career includes a long tenure in the medical field. He graduated from the Sverdlovsk State Medical Institute in 1986 and began his career as a psychiatrist.
Prior to his appointment as head of the hospital, Zabrodin worked at City Psychiatric Hospital No. 12 in Ekaterinburg from 1990 to 2001.
Since 2009, he has also served as the chief freelance specialist-narcologist of the Ministry of Health of the Sverdlovsk Region. He was elected chairman of the Board of the Sverdlovsk Regional Branch of the National Narcological Society in 2006. Throughout his career, he has received numerous awards for his contributions.
Zabrodin was appointed to the leadership role at the Hospital for Veterans of All Wars in 2019 by order of the Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region.
The identity of his successor is currently unknown. Andrei Shastin, the former Deputy Minister of Health of the Sverdlovsk Region, is being considered as a possible candidate for the position. This change follows major reshuffles within the Sverdlovsk Ministry of Health, including the dismissal of three deputy ministers.
