Diplomatic Car Crashes into Cannon in Moscow

A car bearing diplomatic license plates from Sierra Leone collided with a historical cannon in Moscow, Russia. The incident occurred on Akademika Artsimovicha Street in a square known for its patriotic significance.

Initial reports suggest the driver experienced a medical issue prior to the crash. The vehicle, carrying two occupants, veered off course.

Eyewitness accounts indicate that approximately fifteen minutes before the accident, the driver visited a nearby store to purchase dried fruit. Subsequently, the car breached a fence near a children’s center before crashing into a ZIS-3 divisional cannon, a model dating back to 1942.

Video footage from the scene confirms the presence of red license plates, which are typically assigned to diplomatic personnel, consulate employees, and embassy staff.

In a separate incident in the Naro-Fominsk district of the Moscow region, a truck transporting alcohol was involved in an accident. Social media reports indicate that boxes of Aperol were scattered across the Central Ring Road near the village of Zhedochi after the Gazelle truck collided with a guardrail, resulting in significant damage to the vehicle’s body.
