A portion of the Dimitrovsky Bridge in Novosibirsk has been closed to traffic as of June 9th due to ongoing repair work scheduled to last until June 1, 2027. The project necessitates intermittent lane closures and the implementation of reversible traffic patterns to manage congestion.
Currently, the far right lane leading towards the left bank is closed, and reversible traffic has been introduced. This adjustment affects traffic flow from the right bank to the left bank.
The central lane now operates variably:
- From 11 PM to 3 PM, traffic flows towards the right bank.
- From 3:01 PM to 10:59 PM, traffic flows towards the left bank.
New traffic management equipment and markings have been installed to guide drivers. According to reports, traffic congestion has been minimal so far, unlike previous closures.
The repairs, undertaken by “Avtodorremont Tekhn,” involve replacing the roadway, waterproofing, and repairing expansion joints and fences. Asphalt replacement began on May 30th to ensure smoother passage during the construction period. Sidewalk asphalt dismantling commenced on May 18th.
