A businessman was apprehended at Irkutsk airport for attempting to illegally import a large quantity of Labubu keychain-toothies from China. The incident occurred when the individual, arriving from Beijing, tried to bring in the goods without declaring them to customs officials.

The Federal Customs Service reported that the passenger was stopped while passing through the “green” corridor with boxes weighing 46 kg. Upon inspection, customs officers discovered 282 packages of collectible plush toys, identified as Labubu figures. These items were determined to be a commercial batch that had not been declared as required.

According to the airport staff, the man admitted to purchasing the Labubu toys in China with the intention of reselling them in Russia for profit. The undeclared toys have been seized and are currently undergoing examination to assess their value. As a result of the incident, an administrative offense case has been initiated against the individual.
