Detention and Investigation of Krasnoyarsk Mayor Vladislav Loginov

Vladislav Loginov, the mayor of Krasnoyarsk, has been detained and is currently under investigation by the FSB Directorate for the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Searches are being conducted at his home and at the Krasnoyarsk city administration building, although the mayor’s office continues to operate normally.

The detention occurred on the morning of June 9, coinciding with the commencement of searches at the Krasnoyarsk mayor’s office. The searches and detention are reportedly linked to allegations of Loginov accepting a bribe on an especially large scale.

Following his detention, Loginov was taken to the investigative department of the FSB Directorate for the Krasnoyarsk Territory. There are unconfirmed reports suggesting that Loginov will be transferred to Moscow, where a decision will be made regarding a preventive measure. Unconfirmed reports also indicate the detention is connected to the “Asphalt Concrete Plant” case, with testimony against Loginov allegedly provided by his advisor Artur Arutyunyan, the general director of Promstroy, Dekard Khanyagyan, and former Deputy Mayor Alexei Davydov. The Investigative Committee of Russia’s central apparatus is reportedly handling Loginov’s case, but has not yet issued an official statement.

Vladislav Loginov was elected as the mayor of Krasnoyarsk in 2022. Prior to becoming mayor, Loginov held various positions, including head of administrations and director positions. He also has multiple degrees from different institutions.
