Delays on Kazan Railway Line Affect Long-Distance Trains to Moscow

Long-distance trains traveling towards Moscow are experiencing significant delays due to a disruption on the Kazan railway line, which occurred Monday, June 9th.

The Moscow Railway reported that a freight train stopped on the Starozhilovo – Denezhnikovo stretch due to technical issues, causing the delays. During the assistance period, several trains were rerouted onto adjacent tracks, leading to deviations from their schedules.

Train No. 101 Adler-Moscow is experiencing the most significant delay, with an estimated arrival time pushed back by 3 hours and 44 minutes. Other affected trains include No. 3 (Kislovodsk – Moscow), No. 27 (Simferopol – Moscow), No. 738 (Moscow – Voronezh), No. 542 (Moscow – Adler), No. 35 (Adler – St. Petersburg), and No. 132 (Moscow-Orsk), with delays ranging from 48 minutes to 1 hour and 16 minutes.

Passengers on the Adler-Moscow train are facing a four-hour delay, while the Simferopol and Voronezh trains are running 45 minutes and 50 minutes behind schedule, respectively. One passenger reported that their train was held for an hour in Ryazan, instead of the scheduled five minutes.

The Moscow Railway has apologized to passengers for the inconvenience and stated that they are taking steps to minimize the delays. A comfortable temperature is being maintained in the carriages.
