A fatal collision between a BMW and a Hyundai minibus in the Moscow region has resulted in the deaths of a 26-year-old BMW driver and a 10-year-old child who was a passenger in the minibus. The accident occurred at approximately 01:00 on the “Lukhovitsy – M-5 “Ural” – Zaraysk” highway.

Preliminary reports from the regional State Traffic Inspectorate indicate that the BMW driver veered into the oncoming lane, leading to the crash with the minibus. The impact of the collision caused significant damage to the minibus, forcing it into a ditch.

In addition to the fatalities, eight individuals sustained injuries, including the minibus driver and seven passengers. Of the injured passengers, six are under the age of 18.

Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident. The State Traffic Inspectorate is conducting a thorough examination of the scene to determine the cause of the collision and will make a decision based on the findings.
