Damage to Railway Tracks Halts Trains in Voronezh Region

Six trains have been halted in the Voronezh region after damage to railway tracks near the Evdakovo station. The incident occurred at the 725th kilometer of the Evdakovo – Saguny section.

The Federal Security Service (FSB) reported that the railway was damaged by an explosion. The quick actions of the train driver and crew, who noticed the destruction, prevented potential damage to the train and avoided any casualties.

The incident has affected several train routes, including those passing through Moscow and the Moscow region. Five of the stopped trains travel through Moscow and the Moscow region.

The affected trains include: No. 061M/062M Moscow – Nalchik; No. 084E Adler – Moscow; No. 049A St. Petersburg – Kislovodsk (via Moscow); No. 220S Adler – Vologda (via Kolomna and Orekhovo-Zuevo); No. 037G Nizhny Novgorod – Imeretinsky resort (Olympic Park) (via Moscow); and No. 526S Novorossiysk – Yekaterinburg.

Other trains scheduled to pass through Evdakovo are experiencing delays. These include: No. 288S Novorossiysk – Moscow; No. 083M Moscow – Adler; No. 061S Nalchik – Moscow; No. 251A St. Petersburg – Vladikavkaz (via Moscow); No. 302B Minsk – Adler; No. 474S Simferopol – Smolensk; No. 116E Adler – Tomsk; No. 525E Yekaterinburg – Novorossiysk; No. 474M Smolensk – Simferopol; No. 302S Adler – Minsk; No. 310S Adler – Vorkuta; No. 507G Izhevsk – Novorossiysk; No. 513V Tambov – Anapa; No. 360S Adler – Kaliningrad; and No. 513S Anapa – Tambov.

An emergency recovery team from the South-Eastern Railway is currently at the scene. According to the Governor of the Voronezh region, Alexander Gusev, there were no injuries as a result of the incident.

Recent incidents involving railway tracks have occurred in the Bryansk and Kursk regions.
