Damage to Pavement Tiles and Steps on Vasilievsky Island Not Caused by Teploset

Teploset denies responsibility for the damage and displacement of pedestrian tiles and stone steps observed by residents on the 6th-7th lines of Vasilievsky Island in St. Petersburg.

The company stated that the affected area is outside their designated work zone and therefore not within their area of responsibility. “The space along this passage is designed solely for the movement of residents and is not used by the company for the entry of special equipment, as well as for the storage of materials.”

Photos taken by residents show deformation of tiles approximately one meter from the fences surrounding the Teploset work area, with stone steps displaced up to two meters away.

Teploset is currently replacing over 4200 meters of networks in the section from Bolshoy Prospekt V.O. to the embankment of the Smolensk River, with work scheduled for completion by the end of 2026. The company is installing a temporary heating system on Andreevsky Boulevard, protecting landscaping with wooden boxes, and has dismantled tiles within its work boundaries, which they plan to restore.

The company clarified that the entry of special equipment is organized from the even side of the street, while the photos of the damage were taken on the odd side. Pedestrian slabs on Andreevsky Boulevard are being protected with wooden flooring to accommodate the equipment.

Teploset became the property of St. Petersburg.
