A family from Samara has been convicted in Novosibirsk for kidnapping their adult daughter and extorting a share in an apartment from her. The Soviet District Court delivered the sentence on June 11th, implicating nearly the entire family, including the grandmother, who was also sent to jail.

In a tragic incident, a 22-year-old man died in a head-on collision near Novosibirsk on June 11th. According to traffic police, the driver of a Toyota Corolla was traveling from Akademgorodok towards Koltsovo when, according to preliminary information, he entered the oncoming lane and collided with a Mercedes-Benz minibus.
