A criminal case has been initiated by the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for St. Petersburg following the discovery of a girl’s body bearing signs of violent death. The body was found in an apartment building on Pulkovskaya Street.

The victim had numerous stab wounds on her head, neck, torso, and arms.

A 27-year-old acquaintance of the girl has been detained as a suspect in the murder.

After allegedly committing the crime, the suspect reportedly attempted self-harm and was taken to a hospital. He is expected to be charged once his condition improves.
