A criminal case has been initiated following the murder of a woman on a beach near St. Petersburg’s 300th Anniversary Park. The Investigative Department for the Primorsky District is handling the case.

The incident occurred on June 2, when the suspect allegedly stabbed his girlfriend in the chest during an argument on the beach near Primorsky Prospect.

The victim was immediately taken to a hospital but succumbed to her injuries shortly after.

Eyewitnesses contacted the police to report the crime. One witness stated that an intoxicated man stabbed the woman and that the caller hid from the alleged killer after calling the authorities.

The suspect has been formally charged with murder, and investigators are seeking his arrest as a preventive measure.
