A migrant worker from a CIS country has been arrested in the Moscow region in connection with the death of a 13-year-old boy who became caught in a cultivator mechanism. The Investigative Committee of the region reported the arrest on June 2nd.

The 35-year-old man is accused of causing death by negligence.

According to investigators, on May 28th, the accused was operating a tractor with a cultivator attachment when the teenager fell into the machinery. The child suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.

The Investigative Committee alleges that the man then transported the body on the tractor and subsequently dumped it into a river. Fishermen discovered the body six days later.

During questioning, the tractor driver admitted his involvement in the incident, according to the Investigative Committee.

Authorities have conducted a thorough examination of the site, interviewed witnesses, and ordered forensic examinations as part of the investigation.
