Courier Earnings in Russia: An Overview of Delivery Service Compensation

Couriers in Russia report varying earnings depending on the delivery service, hours worked, and number of orders completed. While some couriers express satisfaction with their income, others cite reduced rates and increased competition as challenges to achieving desired earnings.

Experienced delivery drivers highlight the impact of order volume and courier saturation on potential income. One courier noted a reduction in order amounts by 80-150 rubles in Yandex, with similar decreases in Kuper. Bonuses are available in Yandex for completing a high volume of orders, but securing enough orders can be difficult due to the large number of couriers.

Couriers working for specific companies report different pay structures and earnings potential. At Lenta, one can earn up to 5,000 rubles per shift, requiring long hours and a demanding work schedule. Kuper may pay between 2,500 and 3,500 rubles per shift, but this is rare. Yandex deliveries can yield up to 2,500 rubles for a 12-hour shift. Samokat pays 105 rubles per hour plus 40 rubles per order, potentially resulting in monthly earnings of 50,000 to 80,000 rubles.

Former delivery workers share their experiences with different companies, highlighting both positive and negative aspects. One former courier noted that delivery work provided a steady, if modest, income. Another shared experiences of inconvenient schedules and additional responsibilities while working for a cafe delivery service during the COVID-19 pandemic. A woman who tried Yandex Delivery expressed disappointment with the complex payment calculation and low earnings per shift.

Assemblers in hypermarkets earn an hourly wage plus bonuses for each item picked for an order. At Perekrestok, assemblers receive 180 rubles per hour plus a bonus of approximately 4 rubles per item picked.
