Multi-level interchanges are set to be constructed on the Novorizhskoe highway, approximately five kilometers from the Moscow Ring Road (MKAD), to alleviate traffic congestion. The project, including design, surveying, and road construction, is estimated to cost nearly 19 billion rubles.
The new interchanges will be located near the future Ilyinskaya metro station, situated five to six kilometers from the MKAD. The development aims to improve accessibility to the metro station and surrounding areas.
The plan includes building additional driveways and overpasses on both sides of the Novorizhskoe highway. A new driveway will also be constructed from the Globus hypermarket, passing under “New Riga” to connect with the driveway to the Vishnevsky Hospital. This will also include building approaches for buses and taxis to the future Ilyinskaya metro station.
In addition to the interchanges, roads near the Vishnevsky Hospital will undergo reconstruction. The project also encompasses roads leading to the future electric depot for the Ilyinskoye metro trains.
Overall, the project involves the construction and reconstruction of over 13 kilometers of roads, including multi-level overpasses, in the vicinity of Ilyinskaya. The address-investment program has allocated 25 billion rubles for the project, which will also cover the construction of parking lots, a treatment plant, a bus terminal building, and the reconstruction of communication networks, water and gas pipelines, and other related infrastructure.
The Ilyinskaya station will serve as the terminus of the Rublevo-Arkhangelskaya metro line, which will extend through Strogino to the “Business Center.” The complete opening of the line is scheduled for 2028. There are also plans to extend the line from Ilyinskaya to Krasnogorsk with potential stations named after the city and “Emerald Hills.”
