Construction has commenced on the “Territory of the Wind” beach improvement project on the northern part of Verkh-Isetsky Pond, near the “Elektrodepo” station. Fencing has been erected, construction trailers installed, and equipment is already operating at the site.
The Yekaterinburg City Hall has confirmed the start of the beach improvement project, which is scheduled for completion in October.
While residents will not have access to the waterfront for recreation during the summer months, the improved area will be accessible year-round, offering opportunities for activities such as skiing and skating in the winter.
The Neo Consulting Group developed and presented the embankment improvement project to the city, with an agreement signed by the mayor at the last Innoprom.
The updated zone, named “Territory of the Wind,” will encompass a three-hectare area. Plans include the addition of a pier, a volleyball field with four nets, two workout spaces, a food court, playgrounds, and barbecue areas.
The project also features an administrative block, a kite station, restrooms, 48 lighting poles, 26 video cameras, and a 17-meter pontoon.
In related news, improvements are also underway at the “dog park” in the South-West, with work expected to continue until 2027.
