Civilian Injuries Reported in Russian Regions Following Drone Attacks

Several civilians were injured in drone attacks across three regions of Russia on Friday, May 30. The incidents occurred in the Bryansk, Kursk, and Belgorod regions, with authorities blaming the attacks on the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

In the Bryansk region, a man was wounded and hospitalized after a kamikaze drone attack in the village of Uborki, Klimovsky district. Alexander Bogomaz, the head of the region, reported the incident.

The Kursk region saw two separate incidents resulting in injuries. In the village of Korenevo, Korenevsky district, a 48-year-old female saleswoman sustained a penetrating shrapnel wound to the abdomen and internal bleeding. She was initially taken to the Rylsk Central Regional Hospital and will be transferred to the Kursk Regional Hospital after undergoing surgery. Later that evening, an FPV drone attacked the village of Sukhinovka, Glushkovsky district, injuring a 66-year-old local resident. The man suffered penetrating shrapnel wounds to the abdominal region, left leg, and arm, as well as non-penetrating multiple shrapnel wounds to the chest. According to Alexander Khinshtein, acting governor of the Kursk region, these attacks resulted in three civilian injuries in the region.

In the Belgorod region, an FPV drone targeted a car on the Arkhangelskoye – Murom road section in the Shebekinsky district. Vyacheslav Gladkov, the head of the region, reported that a man was hospitalized in serious condition with a mine-explosive injury and multiple shrapnel wounds to the head, abdomen, and arms. Later, Gladkov also stated that a drone attacked a GAZelle in the village of Voznesenovka, Shebekinsky district, injuring the driver who sought medical help on his own with barotrauma and concussion.
