A five-year-old boy from St. Petersburg is in intensive care after suffering complications from a home circumcision. The child, from the Kirovsky district, was admitted to a medical facility with bleeding several days after the procedure.

The incident occurred after the boy underwent a home circumcision on Children’s Day. Five days later, he began to experience bleeding from the surgical wound, prompting his transport to the hospital from his apartment on Korneeva Street on the night of June 6.

The boy’s condition is described as moderately severe. He is currently receiving treatment in the urology department.
