Checking Personal Achievements on Gosuslugi for University Admissions

Prospective university students in Russia are urged to verify their personal achievements and medical certificates on the Gosuslugi (Government Services portal) before applying for admission. This ensures that all relevant documentation is readily available to universities during the application process.

Applicants should contact Gosuslugi support if any necessary documents, such as disability certificates, are missing from their accounts. This proactive measure will facilitate the timely uploading of these documents to the portal.

It is advisable to upload scanned copies of achievements that cannot be automatically confirmed through Gosuslugi, such as Olympiad diplomas. Ensuring that these scans are of high quality, with all inscriptions and seals clearly legible, is crucial.

Yulia Popova emphasized the importance of document quality, stating that the admissions committee manually reviews all applicant achievements. She noted that poorly scanned documents, such as those photographed haphazardly, can hinder the review process and potentially disadvantage the applicant.

Applicants are advised to familiarize themselves with the specific rules and lists of individual achievements recognized by each university to which they are applying. This will prevent the submission of irrelevant documents, such as diplomas from competitions like “Russian Bear Cub” or kindergarten awards, which will not be considered during the admission process.
