Chechen Branch of United Russia Denies Vladislav Tyulpanov’s Membership

The Chechen branch of the United Russia party has officially stated that Vladislav Tyulpanov, the son of former senator Vadim Tyulpanov, is not a member. This announcement was made public on the United Russia website.

The denial follows a series of events that began in May when Vladislav Tyulpanov posted a photo of what he claimed to be his United Russia party card on social media, asserting that he had joined the party through the Chechen Republic. He further alleged that certain individuals in St. Petersburg had actively obstructed his efforts to become a member.

In response to Tyulpanov’s claims, the St. Petersburg branch of United Russia stated they were unaware of any attempts to prevent him from joining the party. The head of the executive committee also clarified that Vladislav Tyulpanov had not submitted an application to become a member.

Vladislav Tyulpanov later explained in an interview that his initial attempt to join the party in St. Petersburg was unsuccessful. He stated that he sought assistance from Vyacheslav Makarov, the former chairman of the Legislative Assembly, and Boris Gryzlov, the chairman of the Supreme Council of the United Russia party. Despite these efforts, he was not accepted into United Russia in either St. Petersburg or the Leningrad Region. Tyulpanov attributed the rejection to his “toxic scandalous trail” resulting from his past relationship.
