A Charity Flower Ball held in St. Petersburg successfully raised funds to support children injured in road accidents and undergoing rehabilitation. The event took place at the Eliseev Palace on Children’s Day and was organized by the Foundation Against Road Accidents in collaboration with the Yantar rehabilitation center.
The primary objective of the ball was to generate financial aid for young victims of traffic incidents receiving treatment at the Yantar center.
Philanthropists, partners, representatives of charitable organizations, and supporters of the foundation attended the event. Prior to the official opening, guests were given tours of the ceremonial halls of the 18th-century mansion.
Kirill Galkin, director of the Yantar center, and Anastasia Kirienko, director of the Foundation Against Road Accidents, inaugurated the formal proceedings. The program featured performances by students from ballet schools, along with testimonials from children aided by the foundation, sharing their recovery journeys.
A charity auction, a highlight of the “Art Heals” project, showcased paintings created by children during their rehabilitation. The proceeds from the auction will go towards supporting ongoing rehabilitation programs.
Organizers stated that a portion of the funds raised will be allocated to the rehabilitation of 10-year-old Kostya Orlov, a foundation beneficiary who is undergoing therapy following a severe injury.
