In Surgut, Yugra, a cat named Chaser was saved from a burning apartment by rescuers who performed life-saving resuscitation.
Firefighter Ilya Polyakov discovered the cat’s lifeless body in the smoke-filled apartment. The animal had inhaled a dangerous amount of smoke and was unresponsive. The owners were not present when the fire broke out.
Polyakov immediately carried Chaser outside into the fresh air and began resuscitation efforts. This included administering oxygen through a mask and performing chest compressions.
The firefighter’s actions were successful, and Chaser eventually regained consciousness.
Several days after the incident, Chaser’s family visited the fire station to express their gratitude to the rescuers for saving their beloved pet.
