Cameraman Involved in Nastya Polyakova Abuse Case Placed Under House Arrest

Vitaly Gerasimov, the cameraman who filmed the abuse of 24-year-old Nastya Polyakova in Karpinsk, has been placed under house arrest until August 4, 2025. The Karpinsk court granted the investigator’s request, according to officials.

Gerasimov is accused of violating privacy laws and illegally producing and distributing pornographic materials. This follows the house arrest of another participant in the crime, Natalya Brodovikova.

Brodovikova allegedly beat Polyakova, sat naked on her face, and urinated on her, while Gerasimov filmed the assault. Tragically, Polyakova subsequently committed suicide.

Law enforcement officers have opened three criminal cases in connection with the incident. While the Investigative Committee requested that Brodovikova be taken into custody, the Karpinsk court denied the request, placing her under house arrest as well.

Alexander Bastrykin, the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia, has instructed Bogdan Frantsishko, the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Sverdlovsk region, to report on the progress and results of the criminal investigation.

Polyakova was laid to rest on June 3 in Karpinsk. Acquaintances described her as a kind, vulnerable, and harmless individual. She was orphaned after her mother’s death, and had no other relatives to care for her.

Brodovikova is accused of lewd acts and could face mandatory work or up to three years in prison if convicted.
